Green Philosophy

Commitment to Sustainability

In addition to being a local business dedicated to supporting other local businesses that provide various services at The Barn, we are firmly committed to sustainability and green business practices.  It is the only way to preserve the beauty and tradition of our farm for your enjoyment and for generations to come.

Holly Farm is a working farm that supports a holistic vision of farm life.

Some of the ways that we observe this commitment to sustainable farming include:

  • A great relationship with local Snohomish ‘FarmHERS ‘that can provide organic food. (Our preferred list of caterers also provides organic foods.)
  • An educational program in association with the Conservation district to help protect the Little Bear Creek (that travels south through the back of our property) and its watershed.
  • An expanding daily stable to table program for processing fertilizer (sold in bags for your garden).
  • An all-natural fiber store that provides needed scholarship for equine therapy for those in need.
  • A rain water capture system, developed with the Snohomish County Conservation district, that captures water from our 25,000 square feet of  covered arena to supply all the animal and field needs for our 17 acre farm.
  • We have partnered with WSU, UW Bothell, Edmonds College and Everett College customizable internships including: horticulture, fiber fashion/arts, animal husbandry, event management, herb gardening, and event design.

Email us if you would like more information on any of these programs or locations to rent.
